What assessment tools and diagnostic criteria are used?
The Nuvirtis clinical team provide remote neuro-developmental and psychiatric assessments. This includes autism assessments using ADOS-2, ADHD evaluations using DSM-5-TR, developmental history, cognitive testing, and structured interviews.
Our psychologists are PSI/BPS registered, and our psychiatrists carry out full assessments with medication management. Together, we offer clear, evidence-based diagnoses and treatment options.
How comprehensive are the diagnostic reports for on-going patient care?
Our reports give clear clinical findings and outline any differential diagnoses. We describe the functional impact, and we make tailored treatment recommendations.
Where needed, this can include guidance on medication, therapy options, workplace or educational supports, and referrals to other services.
We aim to provide all the information needed for ongoing medical care and coordinated support.
What is the referral process and how fast can patients be seen?
We welcome GP referrals and can prioritize referred patients. Simply contact us or fill out the form here. Most patients are seen within 7-12 days, with urgent cases accommodated sooner. We provide regular updates on assessment progress and ensure seamless communication throughout the process, including direct clinician-to-GP consultation when needed.
Are assessment results accepted by the HSE?
Yes, our assessments are fully recognized across all Irish healthcare, educational, and social services networks. Diagnoses are accepted by HSE services, specialist clinics, educational institutions, and employers for reasonable adjustments.
Our reports meet all regulatory standards for accessing disability supports, medication prescribing, and onwards referrals to specialist services.
